These are actual folding knives!  They open and cut just like any pocket knife.  I have personally used them to cute the tags off of sunglasses and reusable shopping bags and cut the tape of packages 😆.  Each earring has a Sterling Silver hook, hand cut druzy stone, and a tiny folding knife.  They are not very heavy or irritating either.
